Mike Contreras aka Shimmercore has performed and recorded music in the Indianapolis, Indiana area with several bands including Pop Lolita, Red Light Driver, Playboy Psychonauts, The Shivers, Thee Pernicious UniCats, Lunar Event, The Shake Weights, and Dead Princess Black Unicorn, spanning over a decade of activity.

The latest album, "Catful Of Wallow" is the follow up to 2011's "Dronelands" and continues with shoegazey textures mixed with psych rock and lo-fi power pop goodness. Contreras fully produced and recorded the album in his basement aka 52nd Street Studio and performs all the instruments, including guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, accordion, and sitar.

A live band has been recruited and show dates are happening in 2013.
