About

Not long after meeting in 1984 at Plainfield Jr. High, T.A. Breedlove and Mike "Shimmercore" Contreras recorded their first single "Nerds on Film" on Contreras's first four track. Unfortunately, the original went missing shortly after Shimmercore moved to Vallejo, California in 1986, and no surviving copy remains.

Shimmercore honed his musical skills over the next few years playing in various bands in the Bay Area eventually playing base guitar for the United States Army After leaving the army he moved back to Indiana in 1999. His first band in Indy, Pop Lolita, recently reformed after a decade's long hiatus. Shimmercore's other bands include Red Light Driver, The Playboy Psychonaughts, and Thee Pernicious Unicats. He is currently finishing up his soon to be released solo album "Dronelands."

Breedlove began playing guitar with the aid of various how to DVDs and instructional computer software after becoming increasingly annoyed with seeing and hearing about the video game "Guitar Hero." Vowing he would learn to play a real guitar, Breedlove bought his first acoustic Chinese Fender and started strumming away. Several classic country songs later, he returned to the punk rock music he remembered so fondly from the 80’s.

In June of 2010 Breedlove and Contreras got together to play music in Contreras's basement with no intention of recording an album. After hearing a story from Contreras, Breedlove penned the song "In My Recording Studio (That My Dad Bought)."  8 months, 13 songs, and several tribulations later, the album is near completion.
