Started in 1999 off of former Indianapolis hardcore band EIC, Jim Fix was an emo/post-punk band based largely out of Bloomington, IN. Their sound, built off of poppy hooks and huge drum parts, progressed from poppy emo to grungy post-punk by the end of the band. Jim Fix played heavily in Central Indiana, but played shows throughout the Midwest from Appleton, WI to Virginia Beach, VA. They shared stages often with friends Brazil (Muncie, IN), Lights Over Bridgeport (N. Indiana), Ultimate Fakebook (Manhattan, KA) and pretty much anyone else who came through the area at the time. Jim Fix self-released a number of recordings, most notably "Amplify" in 2001. The last official recording came in 2004 "Bad Kids Like..." before breaking up after the tragic death of bassist Joey Ours. A post-humous incomplete recording "Jim Fix The END" was never released.
