Well, it's Tuesday time and I'm feeling crimped and cramped and off-to-the side from my usual angling. Sometimes when this day rolls around I wake up too soon before the sun rise and sit on my front porch and wait till I can hobble off to someplace that'll sell me a coffee that tastes better than mine would, even if only because I wasn't the one who made it.
Today though I just sat a little straighter and poked around a spreadsheet until 7:30 rolled around and I was nearing on leaving too late to make it to work on time. I got here--got to my desk, my job--and I sat down and immediately found these songs. They burst up through the floor under my desk. New ones and old ones. Lovely ones. Melody and pulsing rhythm.
Every week a playlist. Every week on a Tuesday. It's a clock and a pendulum racing in a circle till the battery winds down. Then you replace the battery and start it all over again, like a poem that wouldn't crack.
Join us next week, when I'll return with another set of AAs and 10 songs.
Thanks, as ever, to Smallbox for the continual support of these playlists!
Help us spread Indiana music, and we'll give you special rewards as our way of saying "thanks!"
