This week on the playlist we've got straight new-new. There's been a huge influx of good stuff into the archive in the past few weeks that putting this one together was pretty much as easy as just going down the "What's New?" list and clicking the little "add to playlist" button because it's all bangers, all the way down.
Some stuff in particular to note: That Wax Bull track is from the first Wax Bull album in over five years--peep that sweet comeback jamming. Dr. Ray has gone all beat producer on his latest release Short Dick Man. Heretical.Symphonic may or may not have 50 songs in the cans for a release called The Cube, one of which is "The Long Night" and is in the playlist above (and recall, or learn for the first time right here, that 50% of Heretical.Symphonic is Greg Llewellyn, whose FM Fiction project I only very recently wrote about here on the blog).
And! For those of you asking "What the heck is the MFT Preservation Series," quit asking please. This is the paragraph where I'm going to address that. Basically, it's a series curated by our buds at Running Bodies Productions geared toward helping get physical release for cool and under heard Indiana releases. The first in the series is the Yolder EP from Sirius Blvck, Drayco McCoy, and Quazar Makeinu which came out a while back, and that you first heard about from me back in the ninth iteration of this very playlist. Keep your eyes peeled right here for further updates on mail order options for the cassette release of the tape!
And so we find ourselves at the close of another short walk together. I don't love you because, what with the internet between us, I hardly even know you, but I definitely at least like you quite a bit for reading this far. Until next time!
Help us spread Indiana music, and we'll give you special rewards as our way of saying "thanks!"
