Trying to find the answers to the larger questions in life is something that most of us have tried to do at one point or another in our own lives, Without Return are attempting to do just that. By asking some of these questions in their songs, while telling the listener a story at the same time. These stories blur the line between reality and fiction, songs that are part autobiographical part cinema, with a little bit of melancholy intermixed. Since it’s inception in early 2005 Without Return have proven that they are a truly an unstoppable force. With the 2011 release of their first E.P. “To Say Goodbye”, they have set out on the task of making a name for themselves. So far being featured on Fearless Radio, Jstreet radio, and playing countless shows at some of Illinois top venues, there has been no sign of Without Return slowing down any time soon. “Our music feels like it was written for some one who is trying to find their own way in life, some one without a home or something to call their own.” says lead singer Jack Beltz. “The characters in our songs don’t have any thing holding them back, they don’t seem to have any roots, they’re always moving forward, as if there running away from something.” When asked about what was next for Without Return Jack replied; “Well really its simple, tour as much as we can, create and record the best music that we are capable of writing, and have as much fun as we can while doing all of it.” It seems as though Without Return have only just begun to answer some of these “bigger” questions and hopefully with a little time and a few more of their songs those answer will one day be found.
