
Village Elder is a post-hardcore band from Indianapolis, Indiana, formed in July 2021.
Known for their compositions that blend elements of post-punk and post-hardcore, their music features intricate guitar work, dynamic rhythms, and atmospheric textures, creating immersive soundscapes accompanied by thought provoking lyrics.
In August of 2021, Village Elder performed at the Wide Eyed Music Festival, a performance highlighted by Indiana Public Radio’s program, “The Scene,” which showcases live recordings of notable local artists. In December 2021 they released their debut self titled album which featured on Musical Family Tree and then they started playing regionally.
Continuing to make their mark in the regional music scene, Village Elder played the Greensburg Music Featival in PA as well as in 40 other cities around the Midwest and on the east coast between 2022-2024.
With the highly anticipated upcoming release of the second full length album, Village Elder’s commitment to crafting compelling instrumental narratives that complement their lyrics has solidified their status as a distinguished presence in Indianapolis’s post-punk and post-hardcore communities.
