About
In the handful of years since a shared love of indie rock ‘n roll, jazz and blues brought them together, Train Company has independently released two previous records. The group followed up 2009′s self-titled debut “Train Company” with “Change [EP]” in 2010. The three song EP was recorded live to analog tape just days after performing at a sold-out Chicago House of Blues with Blues Traveler. The record revealed a band eager to bring new flavors to their inherent Chicago blues sound. Train Company’s music found airtime on Chicago’s 93XRT and college/internet radio stations across the country. This led to another sold-out show at Chicago’s House of Blues with Counting Crows in 2011. By this time, Train Company had already begun demoing new songs. On Train Company’s forthcoming album, “The Remains Of An Effort”, the group unveils a record two years in the making. With the addition of thumping horn sections, haunting string arrangements and a soulful vocal trio; the group fills out a musical cornucopia set to be released on August 14th.
