Hailed as "the sexy stoner rock band that Indianapolis has been missing..." SWIG offers a unique blend of Alt Rock and Blues permeated with deep grooves, impassioned vocals and smoky, sultry, undertones.

Remember that feeling? When you discover a new band that makes you feel as if you've reunited with a long-lost friend? We love it... and that's what we hope SWIG listeners find with our music. We call our sound "indie-blues", but we've also been described as Alt Rock, Indie Rock, Rock/Blues and even Stoner Rock... that made us smile!

The simplest way to describe it? We integrate and adapt the various styles of music that we love to play (and listen to). We ARE music lovers after all! It feels natural to draw inspiration from all of the different genres we enjoy – from honkey tonk to blues, funk and indie rock. Rather than being concerned about sounding a certain way, we love to listen (and borrow from) all of the music that moves us — or as Stevie would say, "makes our hips move"!

And THAT is one GIANT catalog!! At any given time, a listener (with a keen ear) might pick up on elements inspired a variety of genres, including: Delta Blues, Chicago Blues, Soul, Jazz, Funk & Motown, Blues-Rock, Country, Classic Rock, New Wave, Post-Punk , and of course Alternative Rock... So, the best way to sum it up? SWIG plays the blues with an indie rock attitude, therein the "Indie-Blues" (or maybe it should be 'Indy-Blues'???)
