Ryan Ramsey, vocals and guitar, Jarrod Case, vocals and bass, and Austintine Leviticus Lipshitz, drums, formed The Spitshine in June 2005. The band recorded a nine-song EP,"anti-album," that same summer. Dave Bradway,vocals and guitar, joined The Spitshine that fall. The Spitshine went back into the studio in February 2006 to begin recording their first full-length critically acclaimed album,"ColdShoulderCity," which was released in December 2006. The Spitshine have played shows in the greater Midwest area, including, but not limited to,Chicago,Cincinnai,Dayton,Detroit,Milwaukee, and Minneapolis with many stops in between. Shows have included the Midwest Music Summit, Musical Family Tree, Indiana's indie music network, showcases, as well as many bars, clubs,music halls, and basements. The Spitshine has been interviewed twice for two-time award winning podcast, The Good Beer Show, and once for Live From Letterman's Alley, a podcast about independant music scenes. The Spitshine has been featured on IndependentsOnly.com The Spitshine filmed a video with Austin Underground Film Festival award winner, Andy Bond, from V-Pictures, for their first single "You&Me." They are currently in post-production for their second video, "Listen, You Lie." The Spitshine recently signed an apparel sponsorship with American Subterfuge clothing. The Spitshine is currently writing and demoing material for their sophmore album due for release in late 2007.
