Nate Baker is a songwriter who grew up in Indianapolis and went to school at IU-Bloomington, where he volunteered at the student ration station, then called WIUS.
In high school he played guitar in a band called Benjamin's Mess who played at India Community Center, The Emerson and The Village Idiot coffeeshop. In college he was in Fly Nickel (vocals) and Pious Companion (bass).
He moved to San Francisco in 2002 where he made several solo recordings and played bass in a band called Cazadero.
He returned to Indianapolis in 2020 and has since released one solo album.
