Montauk Monster was created from the separate recording sessions between Ben Bledsoe, Jim Kincaid and Dan Wood. Once Jim returned from Chicago in the spring of 2009 the band took form.
Recording of the debut album began in the Summer of 2010 at Alex Kercheval's studio in Noblesville, Indiana. The album was mastered by Eric Davis (of Butler Scion's Free Thursday's fame) and is now available.
Montauk Monster uses a broad range of influence and instruments to create a unique sound and feel for every song. They currently practice and record in Broad Ripple and are working on the follow up album.
