About
the leonard washingtons are jazz funk band from terre haute who are currently on indefinite hiatus.
during their 7 years, they've won a few talent shows, recorded 2 albums, gone on a few road trips, played in a few festivals, and had a lot of fun doing it. they're currently seeing a bit of a hike in traffic and interest due to an American Family Insurance radio campaign that they were featured in.
they've been described as a musical gumbo; a patchwork quilt of influence and homage; a jam band with a competent vocalist and only one song about fantasy characters in a mythological world.
as of writing this, the band is currently split in multiple different cities pursuing their various pursuits including careers and multiple sexual partners. they've made an informal pact to reconvene once a year to play terre haute's blues at the crossroads festival (as long as they are still invited) at which time they will reconsider the current interest in the band and move on from there. of note is their singer, will foraker, and his various solo efforts which can be found at willforaker.bandcamp.com
