About

Joe Dillon is a singer/songwriter, originally from South Texas, now living and performing in Southern Indiana. His style has been compared, by some, to Mumford and Sons, Bob Dylan, Wilco, M. Ward, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, The Swell Season, Patty Smith, Conor Oberst, Kevin Devine, and many many others. However, with all these great influences, Joe has a style all of his own. He lists the number one influence on his music as the comedian Andy Kaufman. "Andy didn't give a damn if people laughed at him or not; he was the one laughing. That's what got me back into songwriting, I don't care so much anymore if I'm writing songs that people want to hear as much as I want to write songs that I enjoy singing. In the end, people like those songs better anyway."
