I Dream in Evergreen is a band that formed with a single purpose: to write music free from the expectations of any one specific genre. Just four close friends with a common dream of writing great songs. “IDIE” began playing shows at the start of 2013 in Indianapolis where the band was formed, booking shows soon after with larger bands such as HRVRD (Equal Vision Records) and From Indian Lakes (Triple Crown Records). In August of 2013, long-time friend of the band, Christina Harlow (guitar/vocals), joined the group and they began recording their debut EP, “To Come Back Home”. Max Reinhardt (lead singer) suggests that, “The songs on the record all have a general theme of returning home, whether ‘home’ be a physical place or a peace of mind.” In regards to the overall sound of the album, Mason Alexander (guitar/vocals) states, “You can expect to hear beautiful vocal harmonies, well-blended guitar tones, intricate bass lines, and wide dynamic ranges.” Just as I Dream in Evergreen was finishing their first record, bassist Matthew Nichols left the band to return home to California to be with family. His position was then filled by Patrick Larsen, bassist of Max’s former band, Olympians. IDIE is very eager about booking more shows in and around Indiana and have their sights set on touring the Midwest in 2014.
