Heartland Heretics was formed in Indianapolis in 2013 by Nicholas Weber. He recruited longtime bandmate and drummer John Concannon (of Tax Brandywine and Tied to Tigers) to record their debut release, Heartland Heretics EP, on May 6, 2014. After recruiting guitarist and Tied to Tigers founder Matthew Corken to join the band, the trio recorded Fighting the Good Fight, their debut full-length album, which was released on November 12, 2016. The band will embark into the studio early in 2017 to record their follow-up album, Chasing Tale.
