It’s difficult to define F L A C O’s sound. He crafts addictive hooks, spits heavy bars and switches flows on a dime. He’s constantly experimenting — with production, visuals, subject matter and delivery. Bringing a DIY per- spective to his music, F L A C O has created a unique and unpredictable, yet accessible and lyrically-inclined sound, citing a number of talented writers as influences, including Lupe Fiasco and Julian Casablancas.
At the end of his college freshman year, F L A C O began experimenting with hip hop on his friend’s Macbook, with little knowledge of or connections in the industry. Since then, he’s released 20 projects, including GUNSFORGIRLS, which was highly praised by critics and tastemakers such as Pigeons & Planes and NoJumper.
