Bio:
In 2002, the headquarters of Punk Rock Night Promotions also served as rehearsal space for Marmoset and Pizzle. When Jason Cavan, Jim Jennings and Steven Pratt all found themselves unemployed and living there, it was only a matter of time until something musical happened. Early that summer, the trio wrote the first batch of songs over the course of a week. As soon as those songs were finished, Dave Jablonski brought his portable studio into the basement and the first demo was recorded. Later that year, their sound was rounded out by enlisting former Dead Disney and Pillars To Pieces guitarist Fat Sammy. This line up of the band recorded ten songs at The Engine Room in late 2003. This recording, while never officially released, would become known as “Drink, Drank, Drunko.”
Due to their volatile nature and each of their member’s involvement in other bands, Drunko broke up in early 2004. In 2006, they decided to reunite to record two songs for a tribute CD to benefit Maximum Rock and Roll columnist and Steve’s long time friend, George Tabb. Sammy made it known from the beginning that this would not be a long term thing for him, but agreed to play one last show with the band on New Year's Eve 2006. They played several shows in 2007 after recruiting former Pizzle and Dutch 45 guitarist Mike Metzger to be Sammy’s replacement. Among the shows they played that year was a show in Brooklyn, NY with several old school bands including 76% Uncertain, The Freeze and Iron Cross.
Right now, they are currently on another “break” but plan to reform and look for a new lead guitarist in the coming year.
