Originally from Indianapolis, grew up in the Broadripple area. I first began playing piano at 9, started playing guitar and writing songs at 14 years old...way back in 1994. Been writing and recording ever since. Main instruments I play now are mandolin, guitar and piano. In no particular order.
First band if I remember correctly, was Marble Moon. That was a nice acoustic trio with Jay Constable (now with Barley Legal) and Andy Campbell.
Started a group in '95 called The Elephant Dance with Michael Conard who's now in The Silver Dollar Family Band. Other members included Patrick Flaherty (Silver Dollar Family Band), Matt Frick (Blue Moon Revue, The Water Company), and Cameron Reel (The Twin Cats).
Formerly a mandolinist and songwriter for The Water Company, an acoustic group that used to kick ass back in Bloomington during the late '90s and early 2000's. Members included Dave Sullivan and Andy Salge (both super talented dudes now in Blue Moon Revue), Matt Frick (banjo player and all around great musician) and Dan Hirons.
Recorded my first solo album in 2005 in Bloomington with help from some of the Blue Moon Revue guys. Moved to Chicago after that and have recorded two more solo albums and one children's album. Currently working on the next album, plus a volume 2 to the children's album, and a bunch of instrumental guitar finger pickin' tunes.
Hard to categorize, but essentially I write music I'd like to hear.
But enough about me.
