Cooled Out Babies are a "studio band."  The first recordings started in late 2010 and continued over the next two years.   The songs usually start as a rough or complete idea from one of the members, and is then fleshed out over the course of one or many sessions by the core group members, Finn Swingley on guitars and keyboards, Brian Daley on bass and guitar and Joe Daley on drums.   All three members contribute to the vocals.   The group likes to rope in performances from some of their many musical friends and the collection features contributions from Paul Foreman (guitar, alto sax), Brennan Connor (flutes, tenor sax), Jeffrey Kmieciak (guitar and lap steel), Brett Callaway (drum programming, keyboard), Nick Rocchio (lap steel), Sean Burke (shaker, fingersnaps and wolf whistle) and Jeff Wichmann (trumpet).
