About

Boxcars, Boxcars, Boxcars' new EP, "Let's Get Dangerous" is expected to be finished by Christmas 2012

Joe Janizek & Keldon Snyder first hung out through mutual friends while skateboarding in a first national bank parking lot during a session of "Sk8 or Dice" in the spring of 2009. While smoking a cigarette in what was known as the 'Greenhouse', they spoke of  their musical endeavors, until one of the two suggested starting a band. "Sure" was the reply. They would see each other in the hallways of Homestead high school and say, "hey man, we've got to jam sometime!" followed by a smile and a nod. This went on for a year and a half.

Then, in the summer of 2010, Joe & Keldon finally had their first jam session at the Jefferson Pointe outlet mall, accompanied by their friend Zane, in attempt to make some cash before the high school football game. During a cover of Panic! At the Disco's "Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off" they made $11

For the next couple years, they went through the band names 'Strictly for the Season', inspired by a line from The Catcher in the Rye and some newspaper article, 'The Adventurists', based on adventure nights, and then finally, 'Boxcars, Boxcars, Boxcars', a line from Allen Ginsberg's "Howl: for Carl Solomon"

Boxcars began recording in January 2012
