As a recently established band, bleedingkeys are building momentum fast & already garnering some amazing opportunities and a respectable fan base in a short amount of time. The bands accomplishments over the past two years are nothing short of impressive. Lead singer/songwriter, Jeremy Johnson, won Indianapolis's premier solo talent competition with an original song and secured the $5000 grand prize in 2011. To name a few of their more recent accomplishments, the band played at The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas and opened for Maroon 5 at Klipsch Music Center earlier this year. Despite a banner year, members of the band have stayed grounded and humble. In keeping with their reputation, this band truly has a heart for helping others in any way possible. To date, they have played more non paying benefits and fundraisers than all other shows combined. This music is about combining blues, folk, rock and soul in a way that sound and textures pay respect and represent each genre with great appreciation. They want this to be a playground that has no limitations to its games. This is a place where singing, rapping, fingerpicking, and poetry can meet in one accord. This is where they wish to play. They want to resolve the anger and pain others feel. They want to show you that there are more similarities in their music to your experiences than you may realize. The single thing that makes two apparently opposing genres harmonize is the greatest commonality; that we are all human. We all experience the same feelings and emotions, though there may be different things that make us feel these emotions, and we may express them in different ways. Yet, their music is created for a reason.....to bring us closer together.
