Kat Coplen, the editor of NUVO and certified pet-sized creature enthusiast, was kind enough to offer up this month's guest playlist.
This week, I'm moving. Not far -- just from one spot to another about 2.75 blocks away.
And moving, my friends, sucks. It takes forever and your back hurts and you lose all your socks somehow and you get weird bruises and you wonder where you got all this stuff, anyway. This week I've been confronting my pack rat tendencies, and then getting distracted and googling "pack rat" and then "rat king" and then I've barely even scratched the surface of the detritus choking my utility closet.
But one great thing about scuttling up and down several sets of stairs and scrubbing junk drawers is that I've had a lot of time to listen to a bunch of music I love, very loudly (sorry neighbors; I'll be gone in a week) while bopping around the house. That's the general, vague theme of this playlist -- those familiar jams I like to bop to, with an ease in the middle when you need to take a break. So while I'm covered in a layer of grime sorting through boxes of stuff i swore I got rid of sophomore year of college, I hope you're bopping somewhere, too. And do you want my copy of The Anatomy of Fascism? Because I just realized I have two.
Help us spread Indiana music, and we'll give you special rewards as our way of saying "thanks!"
