It's hard to put your finger on the importance of something as integral to our community as music, but that is exactly what MFT has been doing--pointing out, supporting, curating, and, of course, spreading Indiana music. We're looking for someone to lead and sustain that effort.
We're announcing the job opening for Part-Time Director of Musical Family Tree, and I'm honored to be making the announcement on behalf of the MFT Board and in the spirit of those who have served this organization in various capacities.
We are looking for a very unique person to be MFT's next executive director. Someone that can be an active part of the music scene while also comfortable fundraising and grant writing. Experience and expertise are important, but the ability to navigate and connect diverse sectors of the Indianapolis community--including funders and the scene--is a must.
Carrying out the mission of Musical Family Tree requires a balance between community-building and innovation, between the creativity of entrepreneurship and patient facilitation of grass-roots work. We can build sustainably through authentic relationships and celebrate this amazing aspect of the arts in Indiana.

The application deadline is midnight, Tuesday, November 3rd.
Help us spread Indiana music, and we'll give you special rewards as our way of saying "thanks!"
