Alright alright, notches getting kicked up several levels up in here with another episode of the Purple Pyramid Club Podcast posting up exactly one week after the last one. We heard your pleas for more and have come in all quick and efficient with another one. This episode revolves primarily around a conversation between host Grey Granite and Indiana Chief, though Sirius Blvck (who first appeared on the show back in episode one) and Diop peak in and out a time or two throughout the thing.
As ever, the conversation is loose, flipping from international espionage, Netflix original series, and local hip-hop. We here Chief talk about the process of putting together his latest release I Am the Rabbit. He talks as well about another release that's temporarily on the shelf called The Golden Ratio, and a whole other release that he's working on right now that doesn't seem to have a title yet. The dude's always working, it seems.
The music in this episode's got a hardcore local slant, pulling in large part from an assortment of Chief's recent work both on I Am the Rabbit and elsewhere. The show opens with "The Hunt," which you might remember as a recent installment in the MFT Music Video in a Day series, and buried in there are tracks off of the likes of J. Brookinz's Gateway5 and Sirius Blvck's Light in the Attic (specifically "Tribe Quest" which we shouted out right here on the blog not too long ago).
Episode 6 will be hot on its way very soon, I promise you. Keep an eye on PPC on Instagram and Twitter so you'll know at the details first and be able to brag to your friends about how on the pulse you've got your finger. And of course, major props to the podcast's sponsors: Sam Ash and Deckademics.
Help us spread Indiana music, and we'll give you special rewards as our way of saying "thanks!"
