Indianapolis and now Nashville, TN. Amy Lashley is a singer/songwriter happily planted in the Midwest. She writes songs with a simple, front porch feel--rural and rootsy; And sings with a rich warm voice that can fill a room with broken hearts. missAmy also likes to give Patsy Cline a whirl (not "CRAZY") , then drive an old pick-up through a jazz standard...." I started in this danged old "business" of music back in college and primarily sang my band member's songs. I said to Hell with that--actually, my bandmate flew the coop, AND stiffed me for $1200 (for CDS). Anyhoo, I decided I'd be better off doing my own thing. A couple of years ago, a friend of mine (KRISS) taught me some cowboy chords and I began writing on a regular basis. I stumbled into a band of my own last FALL and started playing out once again. It's a frustrating mess at times (music that is), but I'll be damned if I can seem to give it up.
