Indianapolis, IN. Grown from the seeds of Manners for Husbands, Melk the G6-49, and A.P.E., the Abner Trio create sounds of something earthy, organic, and occasionally frantic. The trio features Clinton Hughey on guitar and vocals; Daniel Paquette contributing bass, spoken-word, and singing; and Karl Hofstetter with beats. The music blossoms with short anthems that ride the line between sincerity and sarcasm while the word-play jumps from insightful to hysterical. From its deepest roots in guitar-driven rock to its most skyward branch reaching into the future of indie-rock, it's as solid as an old oak tree and intriguing as the sky-trail of a jet.
