MFT,
Pravada's debut album. Recorded by Lon Paul Ellrich. Manus Plere may have never made it out of Queensize Studio's, but we played some fortunate shows around the time we were recording. These shows happened to be judged by music people...it was called a 'band of the battle' or something. In the end, Pravada earned second place. Tipping our hat to the first place outfit, . . We were still ecstatic; (we had no money, no car, furniture, food, or tender touches. So, it was really great.)
With our prizes, Jesse and I headed down to Echo Park Studios with Lon Paul Ellrich and Mr. Andy Fry to mix and master Manus Plere. We were graciously assisted by Kevin Loyal and the aloof Michael Stucker. One of the prizes was 50 burned copies (blue bottoms)((ugh)) with artwork! So Pravada was ready for a release show. The future was brightening. Some time later Jeb Banner released Manus Plere on his label MFT Records.
We love this album, raw, live (ish) fare share of improv. I get a very natural woody- dry- spacious- analog feeling when I listen to it. Enjoy!
