"A rousing punk quartet with a familiar sound but a refreshing energy." - Jim DeRogatis Chicago Sun-Times Blog
Mr. Gray is a Trojan horse with a punk rock heart and a pop physique. Concealed within; four committed artists wielding a full-length CD, an interactive website, merchandise, and up to two hours of original music. After four years in the making, this four-piece forges a cohesive and experienced group that inspires audiences with sociopolitical lyrics and a genuine stage presence. Nearly all creative aspects including illustrations, sound production and web development are performed by Mr. Gray's members, defining an ongoing determination and commitment to providing an honest, independent product.
AKA Not Us and Greymail

2009,
Produced by Mr. Gray
Recorded, engineered and mixed by Shane Hochstetler at Howl Street Recordings
Mastered by Trevor Sadler at Mastermind Productions

A few 8 track rough mixes from practice at the nest
AD - vox, AT bass/vox, AM drums, BL guitar/keys/vox

2006,
Andy, Andrew, Brian and Scott Thaxton (Drums)
Recorded at Pragma in Chicago by Adam Newman - Mostly live minus Vox and excluding The Best.
B plays bass on The Best and remembers this is before we started playing with all of the backing tracks.

Thaxton on Drums - Recorded by Brian off to the right side coincident pair octava mk - 002 onto MiniDisc with slight compression. French Sound Guy was awesome, Thaxton was on a roll.

Remix by Brian using some bits from the Messenger album (The Drain intro) and recordings from the album by Shane (Fathers vox and whistle and the high hats cut from the Antenna intro). Long/DJ version is smashed, med and short are not. The long version doesn't have some of the vox the others do...
Long version was for Tone to DJ with.
