Chicago, IL. Tom Shover - Lead Vocals/Guitar, Austin Hall - Bass, Josh "Sticks" Isaacs - Drums, Mike Stirk - Guitar/Keys/Backing Vocals. MSU was created after Tom Shover answered an add in a Chicago paper. The original line up was: Tom Shover Lead Vocals and Guitar, Tony Kempa ( now in Perfect Red ) on drums & Mike Stirk on bass and backing vocals. This line up released two cds on Chicago based Jump Up Records as well as a cover of "Confidence and Love" was also recorded for a tribute to San Diego's Mod sensations.. Manual Scan. This cd is yet to be released. A high point for this line up was a couple shows in Camden Town London England. Feeling that the London trip was the best that it could get, this is still being debated, Strik and Kemp left the band. Shover was joined by Kevin on drums and Austin on bass. This line up recorded six originals for an up coming cd and "Live without her love" for a tribute to England's Mod stars...Squire. This cd has just been released. Drummer Kevin joined Chicago's Freak Magnet and new drummer Josh Isaacs has joined. The band is now putting the finishing touches on the second half of the third cd " Mega Means More" Mike Stirk has re-joined on guitar and keyboards.
