Hot Mess formed in Bloomington, Indiana in late 2008. Jeff and Crystal talked about starting a band one night while hanging out at The Video Saloon. Kyle, Tom, and Jeff had already been playing in various bands together. This group of people started working on songs in Kyle's garage for a few months. After having a couple of (second) guitarists not work out, we asked the ever dependable multi-instrumentalist Landon to play keyboard. We are interested and inspired by Robots, Aliens, Boxing, Sci-Fi Movies, Zombies, Werewolves, 60's rock, soul, funk, Gulcher Records, More things.
