The Big Star / Alex Chilton covers are rehearsal recordings for the Alex Chilton Birthday Bash at Empty Bottle, 2008.   "Two Headed Boy" was recorded for a covers album project on the website rateyourmusic.com.   "That's Fantastic Mother Church" is a cover of a Robyn Hitchcock song, recorded live.  "Beyond Repair" was written by Tina Barbieri.  We tried to convince her to put it on the Cargo Cult album, but she felt it didn't fit and was probably saving it for a forthcoming solo album.  I convinced her to let me put it out there though, so enjoy.   "Easy Grace" is an old song, recorded at practice with Brian Daley on the bass.   "The Mountain" was more or less a solo song, recorded before the band was even formed, but it features Joe on drums and Tina on backing vocals, so I decided it belonged here.   Unfortunately the original digital tracks got scrambled, so this is only a rough mix and the only one we'll ever have most likely.
