The upcoming full length album by 2012:47807: is part of the larger, site-specific, recording project "2012: SIte-Specific:". Site-specific means that the music is geographically organized as per location and the participants must be in the location at the time of recording. Outside samples are rarely used for these projects, as all the samples are generated from real people living or passing through the recording location. Some people contribute chatter,
some sing, and some just make noise. All contribute to a unique lexicon of samples
that are polished and turned into "ready for public consumption" audio tracks.

Since beginning the work on this segment of the project in 2009, producer (+_m) has recorded many of the interesting characters who have helped to create his adventure in the city. This audio collection features contributions from individuals who live in, or were simply just passing through, Terre Haute. Some folks added chatter, some sang, and some made noise. All contributed to a unique lexicon of recordings that were then refined and lastly turned into audio tracks that are ready for public consumption.

Additional Info:
“We did it here, in Terre Haute. I must mention that this was not my effort alone; everyone contributed, in so many ways, everything from scheduling, recording, releasing, and promoting. Individual talents are what made this project a completely original work. By letting anyone to participate, and by exclusively recording this project in Terre Haute, we have created an amazing audio product that is distinctly local, and could not have been created anywhere else. I want to note that each participant created their own part. There was no censorship in content or push for the perfect recording take, there was only their desire to express. There were no specifications in terms of what genres and musical styles could be used. Everything that came in was raw and unrehearsed, and then processed into the songs that populate the album. The city spoke for itself, and I would not have been able to record these people and their contributions anywhere else in the world. This is literally the sound of Terre Haute.”
– (+_m)
To date the project has produced this Double Album, 3 Remix Kits, a Video EP, 2 Maxi-Singles, numerous Social Events & Performances, and a flattering amount of passive aggression. “2012” is the prefix, and “47807” is the postal code for Terre Haute, IN where (+_m) and friends currently hold a studio, hence the segment, or “band”, “2012:47807:“ The number 2012 can either signify the year this project ends or can be an example of a number that cannot be written as a sum of 3 squares.
Trivia:
1. "Get Bent (On Your Knees)[Praise on Haute Redux]" is originally by 23 Wattkins, a collaborative project with RiteSedJed & Myke Flaherty
